Fullstack Job: Full Stack Developer

The Full Stack Developer will work as part of a cross-functional US Government team responsible for the full software development life cycle of web-based geographic information systems (GIS) applications using React/DRF/Django and related tools. The successful candidate will be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries, and be a team player comfortable working on a distributed team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop interfaces and features using React and TypeScript
• Develop API Endpoints using the Django Rest Framework
• Maintain interfaces and develop features using Django, Jinja templates, and jQuery
• Maintain and develop Oracle databases
• Review code
• Test features and interfaces
• Technical documentation
• Work closely with a core team of software developers
• Apply problem solving skills, sophisticated design, and high quality within a collaborative environment.
• Learn new technologies and find effective solutions to complex problems
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Added experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Must have 2 to 4 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role and working in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, and SCSS.
• Experience with Django, and the Django Rest Framework.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle) and web servers (e.g. Apache).
• Familiarity with AWS services and tools.
